
Lead Teacher - Infants
​
The Lead Teacher will guide a team to ensure high quality care and education in the Chickadee classroom. The right candidates will be high energy, have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear a full background check, pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and have the ability to move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise and care for the children at all times. This position is full time (32-40), Monday to Friday and will work as part of a team of teachers caring for preschool students.

Qualifications​​

Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or Special Education Preferred

Associate Degree in Early Childhood or Similar Required

Two years of professional experience working with children in a classroom setting
Floating Assistant Teacher - Preschool

The Assistant Teacher will work as part of a teaching team with preschoolers in the Hummingbirds and Puffins classrooms to ensure high quality care and education. The right candidates will be high energy and have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear a full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. This position is full time (35-40 hours), Monday to Friday. A part time (20 hours) Assistant Teacher position is also open for the Orioles classroom.

Classroom Aide - Preschol

The Classroom Aide will work with all Preschool classrooms at the Center as part of a team to ensure high quality care and education. The right candidates will be high energy and have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear a full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. This position is full time (32-40 hours), Monday to Friday or part time (20 hours).

Assistant Teacher - Toddler

The Assistant Teacher will work as part of a teaching team with toddlers in the Doves classroom to ensure high quality care and education. The right candidates will be high energy and have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear a full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. This position is full time (32-40 hours), Monday to Friday.

The Substitute Assistant Teacher will work on Ephrata Area School District No-School Days in the Eagles and Owls classrooms as part of a team to ensure high quality care. The right candidates will be high energy and have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear a full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. This position is school year only.

Summer Camp Assistant Counselors - School Age

The Summer Camp Assistant Counselor will work as part of the summer camp team to ensure a high quality, enriching educational and fun day camp environment during the 2026 summer. The right candidates will have a love for the outdoors, be high energy and have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear a full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a classroom, playground and walking trains in order to safely supervise the children at all times. This position is summer only.

Substitute Assistant Teacher - Center Wide

The Substitute Assistant Teacher will work as part of a teaching team throughout the Center to ensure high quality care and education. The right candidates will be high energy and have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear a full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. This position is on-call at the discretion of the employee up to 32 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed.
