Toddler Lead Teacher

The Toddler Lead Teacher will develop and implement lessons to meet the individual development needs of children from ages 12 to 24 months old. The Lead Teacher manages a classroom team that works together, using each staff member's individual strengths to help the children reach kindergartens readiness milestones.

The right candidate will have an understand of play based learning, be able to individualize and diversify lesson plans, and develop warm relationships with the students. They will be high energy and be able to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood or other education field, required

  • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or similar, preferred

  • Two years of professional childcare experience

  • Have basic computer literacy skills

Preschool Assistant Teacher

The Preschool Assistant Teacher will work as part of a classroom team to prepare 3 year old children for kindergarten. The right candidates will be high energy and the able to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. This is a Full Time position, M-F, 9am-6pm.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or currently enrolled in a Childcare Specific Education program 

  • Two years of childcare experience 

School Age Care Assistant Teacher

The School Age Care Assistant Teacher will engage a group of Kindergarten students in activities, homework help and enrichment programs to accommodate the half day Kindergarten program at Akron and Fulton Elementary School. The right candidates will be high energy and the able to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times. The shift for this position is Full Time, Split M-F, 6:15am-10:15am/2:00-6:00pm; September to May with summers optional. 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and a Minimum 2 years of professional child care experience/2500 verifiable hours working with children (not related to you)

Bible and Specials Teacher

The Specials Teacher will teach Bible lessons from an Anabaptist perspective to children from age 1 year to 4th grade. Additional special classes will be based on the right candidate's interests and talents and may include music, Spanish or other second language, gardening, physical education or art.

The right candidates will have an understand of Anabaptist theology and be an active member of their Church. They will be high energy and be able to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. They must clear full background check and must pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times.

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood or similar required

  • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or similar preferred.

  • Two years of professional childcare experience

  • An understanding of Anabaptist Theology
